Dec. 20-22, Thursday-Saturday, 7pm/Thurs.-Sat, 2pm/Sat, “Holly Star,” a young woman who barely makes a living as a puppeteer returns to Maine for the holiday only to get caught up in a mysterious treasure hunt involving her paintball-obsessed best friend, her tango-dancing grandmother and a childhood crush. Nickles during one of the coldest winter’s on record, HOLLY STAR was shot entirely in the Saco-Biddeford area, using recognizable and beloved landmarks as locations. The film stars Katlyn Carlson (Broadway-bound musical Be More Chill), Brian Muller (The Deuce, The Good Wife), Teya Patt (Fear The Walking Dead, Weeds), along with a bevy of very talented local actors, crew and extras. HOLLY STAR will be released in the United States, the UK and France in time for Christmas.
