Ebeemee Lake, Ebeemee Township, Maine: Lakefront Property Access to Four Great Ponds

Enjoy Fabulous Mountain Views from Ebeemee Lake

Ebeemee Lake, near Brownville, Maine, provides lakefront property owners with a 19.9 mile perimeter full of coves and inlets to explore. In total, the four ponds that make up Ebeemee (pronounced Eb-ee-my) Lake encompass a water surface of 905 acres.

The four ponds are West Pond, East Pond, Horseshoe Pond and Pearl Pond. Within the water body acreage, the maximum depth is 47 feet, while the mean depth is 8 feet.
West Pond is connected by a narrow thoroughfare to Horseshoe Pond, which empties via a brook into Pearl Pond to the north and East Pond to the east. On all four you’ll find seclusion and quiet. They are surrounded by the North Maine Woods and offer spectacular mountain views, including the round-topped Ebeemee Mountain, Indian Mountain and Elephant Mountain.
Hiking trails wind through this area known for its great recreational opportunities. Fish, hunt, swim, boat, golf, hike, 4-wheel, snowmobile–you can do all of this here. What kind of fish will you catch? Bass, white perch and trout draw anglers to these bodies of water. Roadside access to the ponds is available.
Ebeemee Lake is about 30 miles from Mount Katahdin and Baxter State Park. Located closer to the lake is the Katahdin Iron Works, a historic site originally built in 1843. Today, you can enjoy a 17-acre park and picnic area while taking a look at the restored blast furnace and beehive-shaped charcoal kiln. Also in the area is Gulf Hagas, aka the Grand Canyon of Maine, a magnificent four-mile long gorge.
So . . . do you envision yourself in a knotty pine cabin or cottage on the shores of a tranquil lake? Do you enjoy outdoor activities throughout the year? Do you love peace and quiet? Do you hope for a glimpse of moose, birds, deer and maybe even a bear? Then Ebeemee Lake may be just the place you are looking for.
