Alarmed by the autocrat’s popularity, the educated élite conspire to bring him down. After his assassination, civil war erupts on the streets of the capital. June 2, Saturday, 8pm, “Maine Event Comedy presents Mark Turcotte,” he’ll be joined by fellow Maine comics Adam Hatch, Dawn Hartill and Nick Gordon. A married father of two and lifelong New Englander, Turcotte’s material is mined from his tumultuous upbringing, marrying out of his league, and his impending demise. He’s performed at New York City’s Gotham Comedy Club, Comix at Mohegan Sun, and was selected for the Boston, Cleveland, and North Carolina comedy festivals. Hatch was a finalist in Portland’s Funniest Professional contest. He’s worked with Comedy Central’s Juston McKinney and longtime Letterman warm-up act Eddie Brill. He’s also logged multiple television appearances on ‘The Nite Show with Danny Cashman.’ Hartill enjoys sharing her observations on life, marriage and the experiences of trying to excel at motherhood. She performs throughout Maine and won the 2016 Stand Cup Comedy Competition.
