June 21, Friday, 8pm, “’Longest Day’ with Dean Ford and the Beautiful Ones,” Vinegar Hill Music Theatre for the Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is proud to present PURPLE RAIN ON THE LONGEST DAY FOR ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS featuring New England’s premier PRINCE tribute band THE BEAUTIFUL ONES. Dressed 2 the 9’s, Dean Ford embodies Prince with every fiber of his being, giving you a show as close as you will ever get to the real thing. June 22, Saturday, 8pm, “Comedian Juston McKinney,” Maine Deputy turned comedian Juston McKinney is not a newcomer to the spotlight. With a national career that started over 20 years ago as he was trying to hang up his badge and cutting his teeth in New York City on the weekends. That has led to an amazing career that has brought him back to his New England roots, settling back into New Market, New Hampshire with his wife and two boys while selling out theaters across New England and touring nationally. This year alone has worked directly with some comedy greats on philanthropy projects like Amy Schumer’s Blue Ocean Animal Rights Fundraiser that sold out in hours and also the SOLD OUT ‘Comics Come Home’ for the Cam Neely Foundation at TD Garden with Dennis Leary and Jimmy Fallon. In January Showtime premiered ‘Unsportsmanlike Comedy’ hosted by Rob Gronkowski featuring Juston and a couple of other national acts with ‘Patriots Fever’. Juston has been making his national mark for two decades now with 3 ‘Tonight Show’ appearances, TWO COMEDY CENTRAL SPECIALS, and writing credits that include TV favorites like Kevin James & Gary Valentine. June 23, Sunday, 3pm, “Cape Breton Fiddling and Dancing,” Andrea Beaton, Troy MacGillivray, and Sabra MacGillivray–some of Atlantic Canada’s finest performers of traditional music and dance–will appear in an extraordinary concert, Andrea Beaton is an award-winning fiddler, tune composer, and recording artist who is known for her powerful bowing and driving style. Troy MacGillivray from as young as six years old, was impressing audiences with step dancing and soon after, with his fiddle and piano skills. Sabra MacGillivray is one of Atlantic Canada’s leading ambassadors of Highland Dancing and Cape Breton Scottish step dancing. Born into a very musical family, Sabra has performed with her sister, Kendra and brother, Troy all of her life, most often as a dancer, or accompanying the fiddle on piano or bodhran. June 26, Wednesday, 5:30pm, “Music in the Park: David Gerald,” David Gerald grew up to the sounds of Blues, R&B and Rock music in his hometown, Detroit, and is now playing his Blues infused Soul Rock music nationally with his band. Year round, he performs at clubs and festivals across the United States.
