May 30-June 2, Thursday-Sunday, 12pm/Thurs.- 10pm/Sun, “Branch: North 2019-Music & Arts Festival,” for those of you that remember, the original Branch Fest took place down in Middletown, CT back in 2016, as something of a precursor to what eventually became Organic Smiles the following year. It featured such great acts as Zach Deputy (w/ the Hashtags), Shakedown, Jen Durkin & the Business, Viral Sound, Desert Rain (w/ special guest Ed Mann), The Breakfast (w/ the original Psychedelic Breakfast lineup), Off the Dome, Spiritual Rez, and a number of others. This revival seeks to bring that experience back, but bigger, better and more jam-packed than ever! You can definitely expect another very diverse set of artists, with bluegrass, funk, reggae, rock, jam bands, and much more all mixing together! June 1, Saturday, 6pm, “Mount Hope Cemetery Tour,” learn little known facts about some of Bangor’s famous—and infamous– residents during our guided tour. Hear about the importance of symbolism in the gravestones and get a chance to take in some of the city’s beautiful vistas. Built in 1834, Bangor’s 300 acre Mount Hope Cemetery is the nation’s second oldest garden cemetery. It was designed by renowned architect Charles G. Bryant as part of a national movement to provide respite from grassless urban landscapes. Garden cemeteries were created as much for living as for those who had passed on, Superintendent’s House, Mt.
