Oct. 7-9, Friday-Sunday, all day events, “Ogunquit’s Christmas by the Sea,” held the second weekend in December every year, Ogunquit offers a wide variety of activities from, tasting events, Santa sightings, tree lighting’s, hay rides, concerts, a bonfire, craft show, children’s activities and of course the very popular parade with ample viewing along Shore Road as it makes its way from Perkins Cove to the Main Beach, free, Various Locations Throughout Town, Ogunquit. Dec. 7, Friday, 6:30-9pm, “4th Annual Charlie Brown Children’s Christmas Party,” walk up to the The Village Baptist Church after the Prelude Fireworks and enjoy watching “A Charlie Brown Christmas” with your children. Dec. 7-9, Friday-Sunday, 7:30pm/Fri. and Sat, 2pm/Sun, “A Christmas Carol, The Musical,” by Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens A Christmas Carol the musical *is a spectacular adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story. Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes that personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated “Bah! Humbug!” Thanks to the guidance of three ghosts, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful “Happy Christmas,” $20, City Theater, 205 Main Street, Biddeford. Dec. 7, Friday, 7:30pm, “Jennifer Porter ‘These Years’ CD Release Concert,” don’t miss this very special evening, celebrating the much-anticipated release of SRT Artistic Director and Independent Music Award nominee, Jennifer Porter’s new album, “These Years,”from legendary Grammy-award winning producer Jay Newland! Joining Jennifer on stage are two great players who appear on the album: Adam Levy- guitar (Nora Jones, Tracey Chapman) and John Deley- keyboards (Dido); and guest bassist Damon Banks (George Benson, Neville Brothers). Matt Langley– saxophone, Dana Packard- drums, and back-up singers Emily Gerry, Wendi Sweet McPike, and Jennifer’s sister, Alicia Miller round out the stellar band. “These Years” includes five fantastic new original songs by Jennifer, and five songs made famous by The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, and Tom Waits, and features some of the finest session musicians in the world, plus guest appearances by Country Music Hall Of Famer, Charlie McCoy and Grammy-nominated Zydeco great C.
