With our partners, the MSF provides a weekend of events, exhibits, hands-on activities, lectures, and facilitated discussions with broadly accessible themes designed to engage and excite. MSF is a celebration of science and technology, designed to capture the excitement and energy found at art and film festivals. March 18, Friday, 7:30pm, “Kristyn Murphy,” Singer Kristyn Murphy, a 2008 alumnus of John Bapst Memorial High School, will take center stage in Manhattan in April to debut a new show, “Lovers and Monsters” with co-star Abbie Stands of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Set to tour the East Coast and parts of the Midwest this spring, “Lovers and Monsters” is a creation of Maine-based multi-media company Krisolyte Productions, and AK Touring, a new company that focuses on bringing live entertainment and revenue to historic venues, in order to help keep them maintained, and to help in the restoration process. March 19, Saturday, 10am-2pm, “Maple Syrup/Irish Festival,” celebrate Sugar From the Forest! We have lots of fun planned for this day – you can watch how the maple sap that we have been collecting gets turned into maple syrup in the Sugar Shack – be sure and sample some over vanilla ice cream! The house will be open with so many good foods in the kitchen – soups & stews, corned beef, baked beans, rolls, desserts, & more!
