Feb. 27, Saturday, 7pm, “Yellow Brick Road: Elton John Tribute,” Maine-based “Yellow Brick Road: A Tribute to Elton John” sets out to re-create every detail of an actual Elton John concert. “This is a re-creation of an Elton John concert in its prime. Feb. 27, Saturday, 7:30pm, “From Bandstand to Billboard,” The cast who brought “Welcome to the Sixties” returns for “From Bandstand to BillBoard.” Join us and rock out to some of your favorite hits from the ’50s through the ’70s – Doo-Wop to Disco. As the country went through major changes in this time period, we looked towards music and entertainment to help see us through. Big Bands and vocalists gave way to this new thing called Rock ‘n Roll, as well as the Golden Age of Country, Folk, Psychedelic Rock, and the rise and fall of Disco. Feb. 29, Monday, 8:15pm, “The Blues Prophets,” this group began rehearsing in the basement of a house in Norridgewock, Maine in 1976. In the 70’s and 80’s, the Prophets became an institution on the club scene from Maine to Boston. Their 2013 release Keep on Jukin pays tribute to music the Blues Prophets have been devoted to for more than forty years. Doug Winoris continues making great guitar sounds and has developed an earthy honest vocal style Jeff Davison along with tasteful and solid bassman Jack Tukey create an effervescent pocket to carry the groove.
