Feb. 5, Thursday, 5pm, “Platemaking in the Digital Age,” design and create your own stamps using a 3D printer, learn to design a low-relief printed plate on the computer using modeling software, then bring it to life with a 3D printer, mix digital technology and old techniques to create artwork like never before, basic printing supplies are provided (student-grade paper and two colors of water-based inks, please bring water-based relief printing ink, three pieces (either Rives BFK or Canson) printmaking paper, flat wooden spoon or baren for hand printing, wear appropriate clothing or bring a smock or apron, $10/materials, printing costs, $5-$10/finished plate depending on weight,Engine, 205 Maine Street #103, Biddeford. Feb. 6, Friday, 5:30-7pm, “Whooo’s There Series: Adult Winter Owl Prowl,” learn about native owl species, their ecology, adaptations, and meet local representatives up close!
