One-Level Living on Little Sebago Lake is Ready to be YOURS!
This lakefront house on Little Sebago Lake offers the practicality of one-level living that can’t be beat. Located at 8 Evergreen Road in Gray, the house is very welcoming.
The 1,248 square-foot
year-round house has five rooms including three bedrooms and one bath. It’s situated in a quiet cove, so offers water views on two sides. The kitchen features pine cabinets, while the living room has pine paneling–all creating a soft tone to the interior.
Behind the house is a
24×30-foot two-car garage with an unfinished second floor–imagine the possibilities. Paul, the current owner, says, “The large, two-car detached garage with full upper level really appealed to us for storage and accommodations. The upstairs is open and fully framed, ready for use as more sleeping space. It’s very rare to find a camp with a full garage and this much storage space.” The family also liked the flat entrance road, where the kids often rode their bikes after dinner.
Oh, and did we tell you about
the blueberries? Paul says, “We also enjoyed the blueberry bushes lining the driveway. The kids loved picking blueberries and making pancakes with the ones they didn’t just eat right away.”
Around the front of the house is a
field stone patio–the perfect place to read the Sunday paper or enjoy a summer BBQ. And then there’s the rest of the lot–oh la la!!! It’s flat and features
a sandy beach, which is shaded. “We appreciated the large frontage, private lot and sandy beach,” says Paul. “Having looked at many camps, we knew those to be a rare combination. It was perfect for our young family! The kids would play in the water for hours, jumping off of the dock, floating in tubes and snorkeling.”
The property has
166 feet of water frontage. Little Sebago Lake encompasses 1,898 acres and is about 5 ½ miles in length. It has three distinct basins and a serpentine shoreline that is fun to explore via canoe, kayak, paddleboat, or powerboat. Paul says, “We look directly out to a large cove with a small island, and just to the right is the larger lake. We have the benefit of being in a quiet cove with little wind and few waves, yet with immediate access to the full lake . .
Loons and ducks like the quiet cove, and we would often see them with babies in the spring. On the lake, there are islands to explore, some with blueberries. In the upper lake there’s a huge rock that’s great fun to jump off. On the 4th of July, many camps light fireworks, and people take boat rides watching the displays.”
The lake is also one of the
premier bass lakes in southern Maine. Bass fishing tournaments are held throughout the season. Large and small mouth bass, brown trout and chain pickerel are the key fish in this lake.
We suggest you seriously consider this house on a premiere lake.
The full expansion is still available, so there are many possibilities for a new owner. In no time at all, it you’ll be calling it home.
