Need a place to park your boat? Slip rentals are available on a seasonal basis. But you’ll need to hurry to get your spot. They go quickly. And once the season is over–the marina will winterize your boat. If you please, they’ll also wash, wax and vacuum it. They have a storage facility for trailered and un-trailered boats as well, so you don’t need to worry about hauling it home.
The marina store sees lots of traffic. Here you can purchase everything from fishing tackle and lures, live bait and line to marine parts and accessories, clothing, water skis, wake boats and tubes. They also have soft drinks and snacks.
But the best snacks and meals are available at the Loon’s Nest Restaurant overlooking the lake–so named for the many loons that nest on the lake. This family-style restaurant offers dining indoors and out from late June thru Labor Day. It features several original recipes and homemade desserts. We suggest the BLOBSTERS®, a trademark appetizer, and either their strawberry shortcake (in season) or brownie sundae. Of course, the main course entrees are also excellent, but it’s fun to just eat an appetizer and dessert. For take-out service and ice cream, stop by the Loon Express.
Kezar Lake is located three hours from Boston and one hour northwest of Portland. It’s just a short drive to Bridgton and Bethel, Maine and North Conway, New Hampshire.
