This is the place to fish, kayak, swim, hunt and mountain bike. Hike up Flathead Mountain, Tumbledown Mountain, Angel Falls or the Appalachian Trial. Ski at
Black Mountain in Rumford or
Sunday River in Bethel. Ride your ATV or snowmobile on the miles and miles of trails maintained by the

And then there’s the
moose watching. Bring your camera! Not only is the countryside picturesque, but the wildlife is abundant. It’s not uncommon to see moose, deer, black bears and other wildlife. We highly recommend you head toward the
Height of Land for a moose watch at dawn or dusk, but really, you might see one anywhere at any time.
Stretching from Partridge Peak to Record Hill and Flathead Mountain is the
Record Hill Wind Farm. Twenty-two turbines are located along the four-mile ridgeline.
Both towns are small, but Rumford is only ten miles away, where you’ll find the amenities you may need.
