Crescent Lake is 4 miles long and 2/3 of a mile wide at its widest point. The maximum depth is 54 feet with a mean average of 17 feet and the lake covers 716 acres.Fishermen say Crescent Lake consistently produces some of the best bass fishing in southern Maine. The most frequent catches include largemouth and smallmouth bass, landlocked salmon, white perch and cusk.

The Crescent Lake Watershed Association works to ensure that the above average water quality is maintained. The newly formed association is a grassroots group. Bev White serves as the CLWA president and encourages others to care about the lake. Getting involved in the DEP’s LakeSmart program is one such way to show that you care.

According to Ben Bragdon, the CLWA “aims to protect Crescent from threats like erosion and invasive species, hopes to bring other homeowners into the fold, [and] raise money and awareness of the programs that can keep the lake clear.”

Crescent Lake as a peaceful, relaxing place to vacation or call home. You can enjoy seclusion here or boat along the meandering Tenney River to Panther Pond and on into Sebago Lake, which connects with Brandy Pond and Long Lake via Songo River. The heart of the Sebago Lakes Region is at your waterfront doorstep in this vacationland paradise.
