Charming Cottage on Pequawket Lake, Limington, Maine
An impeccably maintained house awaits you on Pequawket Lake in Limington. Located at 15 Brave Lane, the year-round house is in move-in condition.
Imagine feeling like you are
on vacation the moment you return home from a day at the office. This charming cottage emanates rest and relaxation.

Upon your approach, you’ll notice that it’s well landscaped. Built in 1940, the house was
recently renovated. Enter and a feeling of warmth created by the pine interior of the first floor will envelop you. The full kitchen is well appointed. It opens to a dining area and living room, where large windows and a sliding glass door allow the outdoors in. Off the living room is a deck from which to capture water views and picture perfect sunsets.

The 1,296-square-foot house features
three bedrooms and one bath. Phil, the current owner, tells us that the house easily accommodates eight people. A new family room is located in the daylight basement.
Its location in a quiet cove is one reason Phil purchased the property. With
100 feet of water frontage and a dock, you’ll have plenty of space to swim and fish. The original name of the pond is Horne Pond because the eastern end is shaped like an ox head with horns, but it’s also known as Pequawket Lake, since the east side was the site of a Native American encampment.
The lake encompasses 166 acres and has
above average water quality. It’s 1.2 miles long and fed by Stone and Hanscom Brooks plus numerous springs. You’ll find a boat launch located at the
Moy-Mo-Day-O Recreation Area. The town-owned Pequawket Beach at Moy-Mo-Day-O Recreation Area is open Memorial Day to Labor Day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Seasons passes are available from the town office. The area includes a dock, 1,500-foot sandy beach, plus changing rooms, tennis courts, volley ball area, horseshoe pit, picnic tables, charcoal grills, playground and walking trails through the adjacent forest.
This pristine lakefront location offers
year-round outdoor activities. Phil says, “Whether it’s ice skating, ice fishing or sledding in the winter, or boating, swimming and four-wheeling in the summer, the property truly is a year-round retreat.”
Add to that the fact that he has
high praise for the neighbors. “We are very fortunate to have awesome neighbors. They’re always willing to lend a hand.” That’s life as it should be.
And then there’s the wildlife sitings. “The
most magnificent wildlife we’ve seen is a bald eagle,” reports Phil. “We frequently see cranes, beavers and deer.”
So . . . you must be wondering, if this place is so immaculate,
why in the world is Phil selling it? His answer, “We will remain on the lake, but had a very rare opportunity to own a camp that is directly beside our lifelong friends.”
By now you must be ready to move in! Hurry up and pack your stuff. And invite your friends — there’s
plenty of room for everyone to gather for outdoor barbecues and waterfront activities at your new place on Pequawket Lake.
