Oct. 18, Friday, 7:30pm, “Bradley Backstage: Al Hospers & Friends,” for over 50 years, bassist Al Hospers has been a player, producer, composer, and bandleader. He has performed with Blood, Sweat & Tears, Buddy Rich, and others, and with Mt. Washington Valley locals for the past 22 years. This amazing band, featuring Mike Sakash, Jarrod Taylor, Steve Brown, Michelle Boggs, Craig Bryan, Jed Wilson, Mimi Rohlfing, Kemp Harris, and Swamp Dog, will be performing Al’s original rock, funk, blues, and country tunes with some re-imagined classics mixed in. Oct. 19, Saturday, 7pm, “Songwriters’ Circle Celebration,” Denmark Arts Center’s Songwriters’ Circle will usher in the fall harvest with their season Celebration! As we approach the season’s change from fall to winter, add some spice to your life with songs in the round highlighting a variety of musical styles, instruments and voices. The Denmark Songwriter’s Circle works on developing original pieces, writing lyrics and perfecting melodies throughout the spring and summer workshops. Musicians play with composition, improve on sound and intent through the workshop process. Though considered work of solitude, songwriting benefits when given time to develop and grow through the workshop process.
