Sept. 26, Thursday, 6-8pm, “Floral Arts-Wreaths,” create a floral art wreath with dried material under the artistic guidance of artist Micki Warner. You will bring home a beautiful sweetfern wreath OR TWO, decorated with beautiful dried florals and herbs. We encourage anyone to bring anything that holds its shape and color when dried if one would like. We will provide dried herbs, artemesias and florals such as hydrangea, tansy, sedum, and yarrow. Sept. 27, Friday, 8pm, “Keller Williams,” Keller Williams release his first album in 1994, FREEK, and has since given each of his albums a single syllable title. Each title serves as a concise summation of the concept guiding each project. Each album showcases Keller’s comprehensive and diverse musical endeavors and functions to provide another piece of the jigsaw puzzle that is Keller Williams. Sept. 28, Saturday, 11am-2pm, “Wild Wings Taxidermy,” t’s National Hunting & Fishing Day! Taxidermy is a method of reproducing a life-like, 3-dimensional rendition of a mammal, bird, or fish for permanent display. Sept. 28, Saturday, 11am-4pm, “2019 Annual Maine Lakes Brewfest,” if the words beer and “sampling” are music to your ears, you’ll love the 16th Annual Maine Lakes BrewFest, Saturday, September 28th at Point Sebago in Casco. From 11am – 4pm This 21-plus event features live music, 36 brewers for great sampling and 10 food vendors to satisfy your appetite. Your ticket includes a Souvenir Sampling Glass and UNLIMITED SAMPLING! The event originated in Casco Village with a handful of local brewers and drew a crowd of around 300. It has now grown to be the premier beer festival in the area, with attendance last year of over 3,100. The brewers will be offering almost 100 varieties of beer for customers to sample. There will also be two live bands, playing for your pleasure on the beach!. The food vendors will offer everything from hot dogs, burgers, chili, pizza, sausage and pulled pork sandwiches, and Maine lobster rolls. The entire event is held under tents and on the beach at Sebago Lake, and, regardless of the weather, the sampling goes on. “Rain or shine, we’ve got you covered!” Point Sebago’s Artisan’s Craft Show rounds out the day. Sept. 29, Sunday, 7:30pm, “Claude Bourbon,” Born in France in the early 60s, Claude Bourbon grew up in Switzerland, where he was classically trained for many years. This finger picking guitarist has performed and studied all over the world; he has crafted an unbelievable fusion of classical and jazz, with ethereal Eastern influences, Spanish and Latin elements with strains of Western folk. His sound instantly creates ambience from haunting Spanish moods to lyrical, romantic jazz, Claude Bourbon provides both a rich evening of music for lovers, and a real treat for music lover.
