Sept. 19, Thursday, 7pm, “Catapult Shadow Illusion Dance Company,” as seen on America’s Got Talent, be transported into fantastical worlds made simply out of light, shadow, and the human body! Catapult was catapulted into the limelight and into the homes of millions of people around the world by America’s Got Talent in 2013. Heidi Klum and Howard Stern were two of their very first fans, and now they’ve added many thousands around the globe. Founded in 2008 by dancer-choreographer Adam Battelstein, Catapult is made up of dancers from all around the world that come together and turn the projected shadow silhouettes of their bodies into seemingly impossible images that tell beautiful stories. Sept. 20, Friday, 8pm, “Suzy Boggus,” Grammy winner and Platinum selling artist Suzy Bogguss returns to the renown Stone Mountain Arts Center for an intimate night of music backed by her Nashville trio. Sept. 21, Saturday, 7pm, “Pasty Cline with Mary Bastoni,” join Mary Bastoni Rebmann for an intimate evening of the songs of country legend, Patsy Cline with accompanist John Waldie. Mary has played the role of Patsy in a theatrical production of Always, Patsy Cline and was featured with fellow musicians for a main stage performed at Leura Eastman Performing Arts Center. Listen to the timeless songs like: Walking After Midnight, I Fall to Pieces, Crazy and Blue Moon of Kentucky to name a few. Sept. 21, Saturday, 7:30pm, “Milbre Burch’s Tales from Beyond the Ban,” Milbre Burch is a Grammy-nominated spoken word recording artist and a internationally known storyteller whose work as a theatre artist was honed while training at Celebration Barn theater with Founder Tony Montanaro. A produced and published playwright, she has performed and taught across the US, and in Europe and Asia. In Tales from Beyond the Ban, she shares stories of perseverance and passion from Libya, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. Milbre Burch is a storyteller in every sense of the word.
