Aug. 1, Thursday, 7pm, “Heather Masse and Jed Wilson,” jazz pop, folk and bluegrass, although trained at the New England Conservatory of Music as a jazz singer, New York singer/songwriter Heather Masse is equally versed in a variety of American song traditions, which influences her more prevalent work in folk, pop, and bluegrass. She has performed at venues all over the world. Masse, who grew up in rural Maine, is perhaps best known as a member of the charting folk group the Wailin’ Jennys. Jed has been an active performer since his teenage years in Portland, Oregon. He received a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance from the New England Conservatory, where he formed a long-standing musical partnership with jazz vocalist Dominique Eade. The two have toured widely, and in 2006 released a critically acclaimed CD that appeared on many of the year’s top-ten album lists. More recently, Jed has performed extensively with singer/songwriter Heather Masse. Aug. 2, Friday, 7pm, “Norman Magic Experience,” if you missed Norman’s performance, last summer, now you have a chance at redemption. Magic is returning to Denmark with The Norman MAGIC Experience! Norman is known for bringing a fresh and dynamic energy to his shows. He views his show as a conversation with an audience rather than a performance for them. He involves the audience in ways no other performer does. He gets the audience to react in ways they never thought they could. He swings stuff, smashes stuff, and makes hundreds of people suspend their disbelief with every show. Norman Ng (Pronounced “ing”) has been performing his exciting and unique brand of magic throughout North America for over 24 years. There will be telescopes to use, as well as larger scopes that party leaders will focus on whatever mysterious objects are overhead. Aug. 3, Saturday, 7pm, “How’s Your Laugh Life?” Randy Judkins, a nationally renowned entertainer of comedy, magic and juggling. He is recognized throughout the United States as a popular, professional new-vaudeville stage artist, a visually engaging performer, and an entertainer who also educates. He has instructed at the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey’s Clown College in Florida, and has served as a character consultant for Tri-Star Pictures in Hollywood, California. Randy will do all the things he is most famous for: juggling, character-based comedy, magic, and more! Aug. 4, Sunday, 5:30-10pm, “Snug House (with Max Garcia Conover),” support your local farmers, enjoy live music outside on a summer night, and experience the beauty of the Lakes Region. The From Our Roots Concert Series pairs an incredible lineup of American roots musicians with locally grown food to create an intimate concert and food experience at a venue unlike any other in Maine. Concerts will take place outside our beautiful Normandy-style Stone Barn on Sebago Lake under a sailcloth tent in a courtyard lined with hydrangea.
