June 13, Thursday, 6:30pm, “Why Native Plants Matter,” join Heather McCargo from The Wild Seed Project to learn about the importance of native plants and how to incorporate them into our outdoor spaces, free, McArthur Public library, 270 Main Street, Biddeford. June 14, Friday, 7:30pm, “ChoralArt Camerata,” one of the three ensembles comprising the highly acclaimed ChoralArt organization, the very selective Camerata is comprised of 14 singers and presents a wide range of a cappella repertoire from Renaissance to modern, including music of various other ethnicities. ChoralArt performs annually with the Portland Symphony Orchestra and in special concerts with the Kotzschmar Organ in Merrill Auditorium. The Camerata will perform an entrancing program of Sacred and Secular Songs for Spring. The program will include beautiful sacred songs, spirituals, madrigals, love songs, and folk songs. June 14, Friday, 8pm, “The Platters,” The Platters debut single, Only You (and You Alone), launched the vocal group on the world stage.
