Apr. 12-14, Friday-Sunday, 7pm/Fri. and Sat, 2pm/Sat and Sun, “Noises Off,” called “the funniest farce ever written,” “Noises Off” presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called “Nothing’s On0”. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, a raucous love triangle, and an endless supply of errant sardines all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play, $15-$17, Schoolhouse Arts Center, 16 Richville Road, Standish. Apr. 12, Friday, 8pm, “An Evening with Tom Rush,” since Tom Rush’s 1962 debut as an unknown folk-blues musician on the Boston/Cambridge music scene, he has established himself as a consummate performer and singer-songwriter. A few years back, a sold-out celebration of his five-decade career anniversary at Boston Symphony Hall proves his fan loyalty and endurance. When you think of the importance of the folk scene in the 60’s you should think of Tom. Apr. 13, Saturday, 9pm, “Maine Event Comedy presents AJ Hapenny,” the show will also feature Liam McGurk, Kathleen DeMarle, and Randy Williams. Hapenny has a unique style which combines witty wordplay with audience interaction. He was recently featured at the Salem and Lincoln Comedy Festivals and has worked with comedy legends Jim Breuer, Jeff Ross, and Lenny Clarke.
