Apr. 12, Thursday, 6:30pm, “The German Duchy Hesse-Nassau (1806-1866),” Bangor Public Library Local History Intern will take you on a voyage to his home province Hesse-Nassau. We will travel back to the time 1806 – 1866. Apr. 13, Friday, 6:30pm, “Maine Event Comedy,” this show will feature “New England’s Most Unique Comedian” Bill Picard plus Dawn Hartill, James Theberge, Nick Gordon and Brendan Williams. Apr. 13, Friday, 8pm, “Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain,” the Orchestra was formed in 1985 as a bit of fun, but the first gig was an instant sell-out, and they’ve been performing ever since. Apr. 14, Saturday, 7pm, “Beatles for Sale,” a New England-based Beatles tribute band from Massachusetts that is committed to recreating the sounds of the Beatles live in concert. They are past recipients of Best Tribute Band in New England award by Limelight Magazine. This band delivers a fun and energetic performance complete with original instrumentation and vocal harmonies that are as accurate as possible to the original Beatles recordings. Apr. 14, Saturday, 7:30pm, “UMaine Opera Scenes Program,” join the students of the UMaine School of Performing Arts Opera Workshop class for an evening of opera scenes! All of the scenes are staged, with costumes, and accompanied by piano. Apr. 14, Saturday, 7:30pm, “Pam Tillis in Concert,” As the daughter of country music royalty, Mel Tillis, Pam Tillis has performed on the stages of Broadway, modeled on the pages of Glamour Magazine and is a proud member of The Grand Ole Opry. Pam has always insisted on writing and recording songs that speak from the soul. More than 30 of her singles have made it to the U.S. Billboard charts.
