Dec. 15-17, Friday-Sunday, 7:30pm/Fri. and Sat, 2pm/Sat. and Sun, “Scrooge,” like the film, the musical closely follows the plot of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, in which the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Dec. 16, Saturday, 1pm, “Christmas Mushrooms,” local mushroom expert and author Greg Marley will tell great stories of common mushrooms and reveal the extraordinary connections of mushrooms to the Yuletide season. A program of the Maine Mycological Association, this talk will be an entertaining blend of fact, history, and fantasy for all ages.
