Nov. 17-19, Friday-Sunday, 10am-4pm, “Mistletoe and Holly Artisan Sale,” Get into the holiday spirit and “Buy Local” this year with handcrafted items made by regional artists and artisans, including pottery, handwovens, wood, jewelry, toys, clothing, and more at the Sarah Orne Jewett Visitor Center. Nov. 18, Saturday, 7pm, “Fire of ’47 Retrospective,” This October marked the 70th Anniversary of the Fire of ’47, a large wildfire that burned much of the state (from Kennebunkport to Bar Harbor) in 1947. Town Historian Stephen P. Spofford’s presentation on the history of the “Week Maine Burned” at the Kennebunk Town Hall Auditorium at the Brick Store Museum Program Center.
