Nov. 17, Friday, 7:30pm, “Childsplay: Fiddlers, Fiddles and Fiddlemakers,” Showcasing the versatility of the fiddle, the shows will primarily focus on Celtic music, featuring the music of Ireland, Scotland and Cape Breton, $30-$40, Gracie Theatre, Husson University, One Husson Circle, Bangor. Nov. 18, Saturday, 8am-1pm, “Snowman Fair,” Come early to shop for handmade crafts, homemade candy, fudge and pastries, jewelry, gifts, Christmas wreathes and more. Have your picture taken with Santa Claus, shop Gramma’s Attic for that special treasure. Nov. 18, Saturday, 8am-12pm, “St. Patrick’s Holiday Fair and Breakfast,” The Holy Grill will be open from 8 AM to noon for breakfast. Fair tables include the Best Food Table of jams, jellies and a large variety of baked goods, home made Needhams, and St. Patrick’s famous cheese ball. Other tables featured are the Vintage Jewelry Table, Mix and Match Holiday Cookie Table, New to You Table with select treasures, a Sealed Bid Auction of hand crafts including a holiday quilt, Barn Board Crafts and Wind Chimes Table and a Handicraft Table filled with hand sewn aprons, knitted and quilted blankets, mittens and more. Nov. 19, Sunday, 11am-1pm, “Tozier’s Turkey Trek,” What are we racing for? Like a traditional scavenger hunt, you’ll meet at the beginning, split into teams and compete against each other. There are 4 hidden Turkey Idols, all within 30 minutes of Bucksport. Teams receive a clue sheet at the start of the race. Each clue will lead you to an idol or other challenge. As teams complete each challenge, which may have them find cool things, solve riddles, take goofy photos and more, they’ll upload their pictures to the Tozier’s Turkey Trek event page on facebook. If done correctly, each time your team will be awarded a point towards the grand prize of a Butterball indoor electric turkey fryer! The teams that retrieve the Idols, complete the Idol Picture Challenges and bring them back to the chamber will be awarded a frozen turkey Certificate (Thanks to Tozier’s Family Markets).
