Sweeney. Tuck Tucker is one of the funniest comics to come out of New England in the last decade. Combine his verbal wit and physical comedy and you have a recipe for falling off your chair funny. Portland comedian, Connor McGrath, is a truly unique voice in the comedy scene, winning over audiences with tales of lost love and fragrant banks. Will Green is a founding member of The Portland Comedy Co-op and has toured from Portland to Chicago. Sweeney is relatively new to the comedy scene. He is astoryteller and performs at comedy venues throughout Southern Maine. Oct. 28-30, Friday-Sunday, 7:30pm/Fri. and Sat, 2pm/Sun, “Young Frankenstein,” Comedy genius Mel Brooks has breathed new life into his legendary film with this outrageously funny musical adaptation. Starring a local cast of more than 20 dedicated and talented performers, Young Frankenstein is a horribly hilarious, madcap adventure that will have the audience in stitches. After inheriting the family’s Transylvanian estate, Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced FRONK-en-STEEN) initially tries to avoid following in the footsteps of his infamous grandfather. But soon, along with the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced EYE-gor) and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself on a hilarious adventure as he attempts to bring to life a creature of his very own. Filled with riotous villagers, dancing monsters, and a very mysterious housekeeper, one thing’s for sure, if you liked the movie you are going to love the musical. Because of some adult humor in this show, we recommend that patrons leave their little monsters at home, $23, $21/seniors, Waterville Opera House, 93 Main Street, Waterville.
