What makes for a happy life? Nina focuses on the lives of two concentration camp survivors whose fifty-year friendship is being challenged by the death of a daughter. Oct. 1-2, Saturday-Sunday, 6am, “The Dempsey Challenge,” a run, walk and cycle fundraising experience for The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing, Comprised of various cycling distances (10, 25, 50, 70 and 100 miles), and a 5K (3.1 mile) and 10K (6.2 mile) run/walk, participants 18 and over are required to raise $150 (and encouraged to raise even more!) as they prepare for The Dempsey Challenge. More than just a fundraising event, the Dempsey Challenge also includes a free, family-friendly Festival in the Park, Kids’ Fun Run, Survivor Walk and community celebration.
