Sept. 9, Friday, 7:30pm, “George Lopez, piano & Lemon Sponge Cake Ballet,” Bowdoin’s Artist in Residence, George Lopez presents a new public art project “White Fields” in collaboration with Boulder’s premiere dance company Lemon Sponge Cake Ballet with its highly skilled dancers and award-winning choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl. Designed to sensitively raise awareness and encourage civic conversation about gun violence and its victims, the production will reflect on themes of alienation, isolation and connection.
