“16th Annual Wells Antiques Show and Sale,” Laudholm Farm, Wells

June 23-28 and 29, Thursday-Sunday and Tuesday-Wednesday, 12-4pm/Tues, Wed and Thurs, 12-8pm/Fri, 10am-4pm/Sat, 12-4pm/Sun, “Arts, Artifacts and Anecdotes: 150 Years of Collecting,” Established in 1866 as the York Institute, the Saco Museum is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2016. In the years since its founding, the Museum has acquired a rich and diverse collection of objects. Many of these artifacts came to the museum with fascinating accounts of the people who owned or made them. Join us this summer as we explore the intriguing stories-sometimes true and sometimes not-behind noteworthy objects in the museum’s collection. Along the way, we will also delve into a number of popular myths and misconceptions about life in early New England. From portraits by noted artist John Brewster Jr., to finely crafted furniture (both large and small), to a 1950s bass drum from the Vacationland Drum and Bugle Corps, there will be something of interest for all to see, $3-$5, Saco Museum, 371 Main Street, Saco. FMI: 207-283-0754, www.sacomuseum.org.

When the S.S. American heads out to sea, etiquette and convention get tossed out the portholes as three unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love… proving that sometimes destiny needs a little help from a tap-dancing crew of singing sailors, an exotic disguise and some good old-fashioned blackmail. Topping off the fun is Cole Porter’s delightful, delicious, “De-Lovely” first-class score that includes some of musical theatre’s most memorable standards, including “I Get A Kick Out Of You,” “You’re The Top,” and of course, “Anything Goes.” Don’t let this fun and funny show set sail without you, $47 and up, Ogunquit Playhouse, 10 Main Street, Ogunquit.
