May 5, Thursday, 7:30pm, “Marc Cohn in Concert,” a Grammy Award-winning American folk rock singer-songwriter and musician best known for his song “Walking in Memphis” from his eponymous 1991 album, Loyal fans already know that “Walking in Memphis” is a great opening track on a classic record and also the beginning of a larger story that continues to this day, “Ghost Train,” “Silver Thunderbird,” “Perfect Love” and “True Companion” all exemplify what Marsh calls Cohn’s “grand sense of detail,” and are equally important centerpieces of his debut, this anniversary tour is a celebration of 11 songs and an artist that has stood the test of time, $39 – $56, some fees apply, Gracie Theatre, Husson University, 1 College Circle, Bangor. May 5, Thursday, 6-7pm, “Contemplative Coloring,” with colored pencils and blank mandalas, we will embark on journey work through contemplative coloring to listen deeply to our own inner wisdom, the session begins with a short meditation followed by a 1/2 hour of silent coloring and time for sharing and communitTEA, $5 offering is suggested, hosted by Lee F. May 5 – 8, Thursday-Sunday, 7pm/Thurs, 8pm/Fri. and Sat, 3pm/Sun, “Duck Hunter Shoots Angel,” from the author of “Tuesdays with Morrie” comes a story ripped from the headlines-of a tawdry tabloid, when a jaded New York journalist is sent to cover a mysterious angel shooting in Alabama, he expects to find and dutifully perpetuate a hoax, but skepticism turns to surprise as the evidence points to matters divine, not since the half man-half alligator story has there been so much media in the swamp, and with all the helicopters, the two guileless, guilt-ridden hunters can hardly think, ultimately a sweet allegory about redemption, this uproarious play is a rare comedy with a surprisingly heartfelt message, $25 – $37, Bangor Opera House, 131 Main St., Bangor.
