April 21, Thursday, 7:30pm, “In Spring Time, the Only Pretty Ring Time,” the Colby Collegium Chamber Singers and Players celebrate nature’s renewal with music of spring. The program will feature instrumental excerpts from “Le Journal du Printemps” by Johann Caspar Fischer, as well as songs and madrigals of spring by Francesca Caccini, Thomas Morley, Clément Janequin, and Claudio Monteverdi. April 21-24, Thursday-Sunday, 7:30pm/Fri.-Sat, 2pm/Sun, “Little Shop of Horrors,” Meek flower shop assistant Seymour pines for his co-worker Audrey. During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey’s boyfriend, Orin, to the plant. April 22-23, Friday-Saturday, 2pm and 7pm, “63rd Kora Shriner’s Circus,” This year’s circus will be a 2-ring circus with many of the top acts you’ve come to expect. Blais as the hero, Richard Hannay and Karen Lipovsky as Annabella, Pamela and Margaret, the three beautiful women that he encounters during his action packed adventure.
