Experience the magic of the holidays at Community Little Theater as we present selections from your favorite holiday selections with soloists Rebekah Leonard, Olivia Mayo, Emily Flynn, Renee Mahon Davis, Mallory Haynes-White, Mitchell Clyde Thomas, Michael Litchfield, Cody Watson, Scotty Venable and Cam Ramich. The Dance Center L/A will be providing special dance variations from THE NUTCRACKER, and a special visit from Community Little Theatre’s Summer Youth Theater Project and Teen Musical Theatre Showcase. Dec. 11, Friday, 7:30pm, “Comedy FIX XXVI,” host Mark Turcotte will welcome Portland’s Will Green and Aharon Willows, along with Boston’s Jere Pilapil, Phoebe Angle and Brett Johnson. Green and Willows are founding members of the Portland Comedy Co-op, a group of comedians dedicated to bringing the best comedy to Portland. Angle is a comedian with more than just fantastic hair; she’s crass, but charming and was a recent selection of the Boston and Cleveland Comedy Festivals. Pilapil recently completed a comic-in-residence stint at Boston’s legendary Comedy Studio and was a guest on Nerdist’s Competitive Erotic Fanfiction Podcast. Dec. 12-13, Saturday-Sunday, 7:30pm/Sat, 3pm/Sun, “A Heritage Christmas,” performed by the Maine Music Society Chorale (formerly the Androscoggin Chorale) has become a beloved Christmas tradition and is certainly a highlight of the season. This year the Chorale will focus on performing beautiful arrangements of pieces from the British Isles. We’ll also present the riotous Bob Chilcott setting of The Twelve Days of Christmas along with many other seasonal pieces, both familiar and new. To top off this holiday season’s celebration, everyone will join in singing several Christmas carols. The Christmas concerts also feature a Silent Auction – perfect for holiday gifts.
