Making its World Premiere, this terrifying play is about a blind man who takes a much needed vacation with his wife at their cabin in the Maine woods. However, his wife never shows up and he is definitely not alone. Nov. 7, Saturday, 7pm, “Heather Masse with Jed Wilson,” a New York singer-songwriter, Heather grew up in rural Maine and began singing at an early age. Trained at the New England Conservatory of Music as a jazz singer, she is steeped in the jazz tradition, which informs her distinct approach to singing folk, pop and bluegrass. A member of the Billboard-charting folk group, The Wailin’ Jennys, she has performed at hundreds of venues across the world. She has been a frequent guest on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion, both as a solo performer and as a member of The Jennys. On the show, she has collaborated with artists such as Elvis Costello, Wynton Marsalis, Sheryl Crow, Renee Fleming, and Emmylou Harris, $15, North Windham Union Church, 723 Roosevelt Trail, Windham. Funded by a successful kick starter campaign, Antje not only wrote or co-wrote all the songs on the CD but also self-produced this album.“Duvekot has gotten hotter, faster than any local songwriter in recent memory.
