Sept. 18-20, Friday-Sunday, 7:30pm/Fri. and Sat, 2pm/Sun, “The Butler Did It,” a comedy that parodies every English mystery play ever written with a decidedly American flair. Miss Maple, a dowager with a reputation for “clever” weekend parties, invites a group of detective writers to eerie Ravenswood Manor on Turkey Island where they are to impersonate their fictional characters. The hostess has arranged all sorts of amusing incidents. Sept. 19, Saturday, 8am-5pm, “2015 Loon Echo Hike and Bike Trek,” benefits the Loon Echo Land Trust, which preserves 5,900 acres of land and maintains 25 miles of trails in the northern Sebago lake region, choose from a 4.5 mile or 6 mile hike on Pleasant Mountain, or bike 25, 50, 75 or 100 miles, all routes promise breath taking scenery, supported rest stops and spirited volunteers, and if you are really adventurous but cannot decide which to choose, give our Hike and Bike a try so you can experience a little of both, $60-90 for 18+, $30-45 under 18, Shawnee Peak Ski Area, 119 Mountain Rd., Bridgton. Sept. 19, Saturday, 7pm, “Wicked Good Band,” the acknowledged masters of Maine musical satire and have achieved cult status in Maine.
