July 5, Sunday, 2pm and 7pm, “Victor, Victoria,” a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman! It’s Paris 1934 in all its glitzy glory. Victoria is a down-on-her-luck nightclub singer until she is convinced by a gay impresario to masquerade as a female impersonator, “Victor.” Hilarity and confusion ensue when Victor becomes an overnight sensation in the night clubs of Paris and attracts the attention of a macho Chicago gangster – much to the dismay of his ditsy girlfriend, who gets dumped for Victor… or is it Victoria? July 6, Monday, 10am-1pm, “The Universe Around Us with Bernie Reim,” explores more of what is always around us, learn your way around the sky and how to photograph some of these wonders from the moon, sun and planets to the whole Milky Way Galaxy, we will study sunspots through a telescope and preform many hands-on labs including making basic telescopes to learn about optics, we will also visit our club’s observatory in Kennebunk which houses two large telescopes and many new doors will be opened, $240.00, The New School, 38 York St., Kennebunk.
