Apr. 10, Friday, 5:30pm, “A Visit with Astronaut Chris Cassidy,” astronaut Chris Cassidy, from York, Maine, will join the Museum via Skype to talk about the current and future projects for NASA. The presentation will begin with a short presentation on the history of the United States Space Program prior to talking with Cassidy. Apr. 10, Friday, 7:30pm, “York High School Chamber Singers,” a combined choral concert with the Chamber Singers of Old Saybrook (Connecticut) High School, under the direction of Rob Westerberg and Jeremy Milton will include performances of each choir, culminating in a combined performance of “Take Me To The Water,” composed by Rolo Dilworth. The program will involve more than 50 singers performing a varied set of advanced literature, including a song commissioned by the YHS Singers, “Twilight On The Beach,” composed by YHS alumni Andrew Hirst, free, St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, York. Apr. 12, Sunday, 2pm, “Classic Film: The Concert,” a 2009 French comedy film by Radu Mihaileanu starring Alekseii Guskov, Melanie Laurent and Miou-Miou. It follow the farcical struggles and misadventures of a former world-famous conductor of the Bolshoi Theatre orchestra, known as “The Maestro”, Andrey Simonovich Filipov, as he tries to reclaim his life and career.
