The

As Ed, the current owner says, “The townhouse has a direct, unobstructed view of the lake.” His family uses the finished basement as a family room and another bedroom. A third full bathroom is located here. The property also includes a washer and dryer, plus a one-car garage and storage space.

Step outside and
let the outdoor living begin. Beyond the private deck, the townhouse is situated with eight other units on a nine-acre lot. “The townhouse, the neighbors and the grounds are great,” says Ed. The grounds include 550 feet of frontage on Moose Pond, a boat slip, swimming pool and tennis court. Ed adds, “There is always someone to go waterskiing or fishing with. My daughter grew up swimming, tubing and water skiing on the lake during the summer vacation weeks. Our neighbors included a former CEO of a Fortune 500 company whom I spent many an hour visiting with, a doctor, a health care executive and several business owners.” There’s also a stone BBQ fireplace that you can reserve if you are entertaining a group.

Yes, this is the place you need to call your four-season vacation oasis. Ski at Shawnee Peak all winter long. You can walk across the street and be on your skis or board in a matter of minutes. The ski resort offers four lifts servicing nineteen trails and two terrain parks. Plus
night skiing. If skiing isn’t your thing, you might try snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or ice fishing. Spring brings new life to the area as the lady slippers and other flowers and trees begin to bloom. It’s a fun time to pull out the canoe or kayak and explore Moose Pond. By July 4th, summer has truly begun, and it’s time for water skiing and tubing. Or you might even enter a fishing tournament on the pond. And then there’s fall and suddenly Moose Pond Village and Pleasant Mountain are aglow in color. Speaking of Pleasant Mountain,
hiking trails are right up the street–Bald Peak Trail and Ledges Trail are located on Mountain Road.

Moose Pond–you may have noticed that Ed refers to it as a lake. That’s because it’s
nine miles long and about a mile wide at its widest point. The pond has three sections and the townhouse is located on the largest of the three–the main basin at the foot of Pleasant Mountain. “It is crystal clear, nine miles long, and has few boats on it. You can go kayaking early in the morning and its just you and the loons,” says Ed.
“I used the townhouse as a retreat when I just wanted to get away from work,” he adds. “I’d leave home at 10am on a Friday and would be on a conference call from the lake house at 1pm.” That tells you something about the location. It’s seven miles from the village of Bridgton, about twenty minutes from North Conway, New Hampshire, an hour from Portland, Maine, and
three hours from Boston. This townhouse is literally located in the lakes and mountains region of Maine.
“The property is
the former site of a lakefront hotel, and the uniqueness and beauty are everywhere,” notes Ed. “Our unit has undergone extensive renovation and people describe it as beautiful.” OK, so you are wondering why he and his wife have decided to sell. “My daughter is in college, so we no longer use it for family get-aways. We’ve discovered golf and like to play locally near our home.”
That being said, this could be yours. And if you’d like, he’s also selling a 20-foot SeaRay separately. Contact us to look at this
maintenance-free townhouse. Don’t wait. This one isn’t going to last long.
