Oct. 16, Thursday, 6:30-8pm, “Whale Tales,” watch slides and underwater research video of humpback whales making social sounds in Hawaii. Oct. 16, Thursday, 7-10:30pm, “Heather Masse with Mike & Ruthy,” the Maine native brings her jazz-influenced folk, rock and bluegrass to the Strand stage, a member of the Billboard-charting folk group The Wailin’ Jenny’s, Heather has shared the stage with Elvis Costello, Wynton Marsalis, Sheryl Crow and the Boston Pops Orchestra, and been a frequent guest on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion.
