Sept. 25 – 28, Thursday – Sunday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., “Camden International Film Festival,” join other film lovers in downtown Camden, Rockport and Rockland, Maine for a program that includes screenings of over seventy documentary features and shorts, the festival weekend also includes the recently expanded Points North Documentary Forum and a number of special events not to be missed, venues include Camden’s Opera House and Bayview Street Cinema, Rockport’s Union Hall, and Rockland’s Farnsworth Art Museum and The Strand Theatre, $85 for a pass, $10 individual, all access pass $175, Downtown Camden, Camden. Sept. 26, Friday, 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., “Fiddling at the Sail,” concert by the Belfast Bay Fiddlers, The Fiddlers is loosely organized group of amateur musicians devoted to playing and sharing traditional fiddle music in Belfast, Maine, this concert features Rick Fitzsimmons. Instruments range from fiddles, mandolins, recorders and whistles to guitars, banjos, accordion and percussion, they usually play fiddle tunes from the New England contra dance tradition, they perform at many local events, including contradances for school children, $12, Sail, Power, and Steam Museum, 75 Mechanic St., Rockland.
