Sarah received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2012. She paints, draws, and collages from life, memory, and fiction. Sarah works in childcare and enjoys teaching art. August 16, Saturday, 10:00a.m. – 5:00 p.m., “The Sesquincentennial of the Civil War and Maine Antique Power Association Presentation at 19th Century Willowbrook Village,” 19th Century Willowbrook Village, 70 Elm Street, Newfield will be hosting their annual Civil War re-enactment with the 3rd of Maine Re-Enactors. On one side of the museum campus a presentation by MAPA of early gasoline engines will also take place. The two day program will include uniformed soldiers as well as civilians from the era. In addition to the encampment, there will be presentations and activities, including carousel rides. Thee will be a demonstration of 58 caliber Minie ball (a Civil War bullet) making; souvenir versions will be for sale. Maine author Lea Wait will share her new historical fiction Uncertain Glory, a story set in Civil War era Wiscasset, Maine, Sat., 12:30-1:30. Signed books are available.
