Immaculate Three-Season Lakefront Home on Long Lake, Harrison, Maine
An immaculate and incredibly peaceful lakefront home is for sale on Long Lake in Harrison, Maine. Located at 235 Lewis Road, this house has been kept to a T.
Drive down the private road through the woods and suddenly this delightful house will appear before you. It’s
an unexpected surprise.

The three-season house has seven rooms within its 1,436 square feet. Throughout you’ll find a
knotty pine interior and wood floors. A large living room with cathedral ceiling and fieldstone gas fireplace dominates the first floor. My favorite —
the built-ins. There’s a built-in couch or chaise near the fireplace. Even cooler, the built-in reading nook under the stairway — certainly the perfect place to spend a rainy day.

Through a doorway is the small eat-in kitchen. Also on the first floor, a full bathroom and a bedroom. Off the kitchen and living room is a
screened-in porch, which could easily become another favorite hangout.

A master bedroom, with a dormer overlooking the lake, is located on the second floor. And in an addition on the back are two more bedrooms and a full bath. The owner, June, tells us that the house can easily
sleep eight.
Then there’s the outside. The house is located on six acres, making this a very private lot —
a rare exception on Long Lake. A small deck with a grill is located on the lawn, plus another area is set up for a fire pit. When we asked June about accommodating a crowd, she told us that they’ve invited whole sports teams for the weekend and set up tents all over the yard.

The house is set back a bit from the water, with short paths leading to the sandy beach and gradual lake entry. Water frontage is 280 feet, which allows for
carefree swimming and sunbathing. Shade from trees offers a cool respite for picnics and lounging. June says, “There’s deep water at the dock for jumping and boats.” The family has also appreciated the water clarity and comfortable temperature of the lake.
Located on Long Lake’s eastern shore, you’ll enjoy
beautiful sunset views. And from the dock you’ll see Mount Washington. After a breathtaking sunset, imagine you and your family or friends enjoying a cozy campfire under a blanket of stars.
Though it may seem as if this property is located off the beaten path, it’s not far from shops and restaurants in Harrison, Bridgton, Naples, Norway and even North Conway, New Hampshire. June says that their favorite local spots have included downtown Naples — “mostly driving the boat up to
Freedom Café, jumping off and having lunch.” Day trips via boat through the Songo Locks have also been fun.
Built in 1999, June and her husband purchased the house in 2002. They’re selling it now because their children are growing and they aren’t able to use it as much as they used to. That opens up the opportunity for you. It’s time to
consider this impressive property as your weekend getaway.
