May 16, Friday, 6:30 p.m., “Fryeburg Academy Awards,” a little bit of Hollywood comes to Fryeburg, this awards show features original short films written, produced, directed, and edited by F.A. students over the last year, at 6:30 the sharply dressed filmmakers will arrive by limo and walk the red carpet through a crowd of paparazzi into the beautiful LHE/PAC lobby, once inside the theater there will be a selection of nominated films in a number of categories, there will also be live entertainment by an assortment of talented student performers and a guest “celebrity” master of ceremonies, always unpredictable and never without special surprises, this is a night you won’t want to miss, as always this is a free community event, but donations will be gratefully accepted to help support the program, Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center, 18 Bradley Street, Fryeburg.
