April 25, Friday, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., “Ray Lund Exhibit,” award-winning teacher/artist Ray Lund will be featured in an exhibit at Biddeford City Hall, Lund has taught visual arts from kindergarten to the university level, including Thornton Academy, Saco and Biddeford schools, University of Southern Maine, and most recently at Southern Maine Community College, during his tenure Lund received numerous national recognitions for his creative teaching, including American Teacher Awards’ Outstanding Visual Arts Teacher, National Art Education Association’s Program Standards Award, and Cable’s Leaders in Learning Award. In Maine Lund received Art Educator of the Year, Technology Teacher of the Year, and Maine College of Art’s Award for Public School Arts Education, Lund has taught drawing, painting, pottery, sculpture, photography, and digital imaging, and 40 will include many works in bronze, clay, watercolors, found objects, collage, and computer generated imagery, opening reception April 25 during the Biddeford+Saco ArtWalk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Biddeford City Hall, 205 Main Street, Biddeford.
