Nov. 14, Thursday, 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., “The Wonderful World of Oz,” John Fricke, author of “The Wonderful World of Oz: An Illustrated History of an American Classic” (Down East Books), will present “The World of Oz,” Fricke, widely regarded as the preeminent Oz and Judy Garland historian, celebrates the 75th anniversary of MGM’s film “The Wizard of Oz,” along with all other aspects of L. Nov. 17, Sunday, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., “Ziggurat Theatre Ensemble presents Aquitania,” A shy young librarian receives a letter summoning her to the remote kingdom of Aquitania. Upon her arrival, she meets an eccentric royal family desperate to save their kingdom from domination by an evil, bowler-hatted villain. A hidden doorway through a mountain, magic cake, a lost ring and a child’s game hold the secrets that our heroine must unravel as she adopts a new kind of logic to save the day. Adding to the magic, a trio of beautiful sirens enchants the characters with a jazzy score of French songs.
