Sept. 14, Saturday, 12-3pm, Our Shared History Chowder Festival, visitors are invited to taste chowders from local restaurants, which have generously donated one gallon of their best chowder for the event. During the tasting, the Our Shared History “Words of the Ocean” poetry contest winners will be announced, and their poems will be on display for visitors to view. At 2:30 p.m., visitors are invited into the Brick Store Museum’s program center to see an original one-act play discussing the ocean, past and present, by Steve Hrehovcik, starring Frank Stetson, titled “Battle in the Bottle,”proceeds benefit the Brick Store Museum and Kennebunk Free Library, $5, Brick Store Museum, Kennebunk.
