Nov. 23, Friday, 9am-2pm, Christmas in the Village, There’ll be over a dozen vendors and rooms full of everything you can imagine, from jewelry to jams & jellies, clothing to confections to cosmetics, aprons to antiques, and much, much more. You could be the winner of one of the fabulous items that we’ll be raffling! Visit Christmas Recycled and get everything you need for holiday decorating and stocking stuffing, AND we’ll also have beautifully decorated wreaths! Shop for unique and wonderful collectibles in Grandma’s Attic, and you won’t be able to tear yourself away from our Jewels & Glitter room or our incredible assortment of new and gently used clothing in the Clothes Closet. Nov. 23-24, Friday-Saturday, 9am-3pm, 40th Annual Christmas in the Country Craft Fair, The Christmas in the Country Craft Fair features exclusively handmade crafts including: jewelry, ceramics, stained glass, paintings, ornaments, candles, quilts, specialty foods, and much, much more! The fair is sponsored by the Trustees of the Old Red Church in Standish, Maine, and serves as the organization’s largest fundraising event. All proceeds from the fair support the maintenance of The Old Red Church and school programs, including scholarships awarded to Bonny Eagle High School seniors, free to browse, Bonny Eagle High School, intersection of Route 22 and 35, Standish. Nov. 28, Wednesday, 3-5pm, Sunset/Moon Rise at Bald Pate, a fun late afternoon event! Loon Echo’s Bald Pate Mountain is the scene for this unique hike to watch the sun as it sets at 4:07 pm and welcome the full moon as it rises by 4:20 pm. A flash light or head lamp is recommended for the descent. Trekkers should meet at the main parking lot of Bald Pate at 3:00 pm for this moderate hike.
