L.L.Bean’s Summer Concert Series to Delight Maine Vacationers

You probably already know that L.L.Bean in Freeport, Maine is an institution in these parts. They are the be-all and end-all when it comes to fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, skiing, bicycling – anything that has to do with outdoor recreation.
Known all over the world for the quality and performance of their products, they established and maintain a first rate reputation that is a reflection of the hard-working Maine people who are employed here.
In addition to the multitude of products they sell, L.L.Bean gives hundreds of clinics each year on such things as fly fishing, canoeing and kayaking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing, trap shooting and gun safety. They not only stand behind the things they sell, they also teach you how to use them properly.
One of the events they have added in the last few years is their Summer Concert Series. A permanent stage has been constructed outdoors in the park area outside the main store and throughout the summer well-known performers are brought in to give free concerts.
I’ve attended a couple of these myself and I can tell you that it makes for a very nice evening to spend a little time shopping at L.L.Bean and then wander outdoors into a sultry summer evening to hear wonderful music “al fresco”. Bring your folding chair, grab an ice cream or cold drink, sit back and enjoy!
