Aug. 4, Saturday, 7pm, “Broadway & Beyond,” singers Emily Ann Cain, Kelly Caufield and Matthew Small, along with pianist Dr. Laura Artesani, will perform “Broadway & Beyond” at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4 at the North Windham Union Church as part of the organization’s Music with a Mission series. The upcoming concert will mark the sixth straight summer concert for this popular local ensemble. This original “Broadway & Beyond” team of friends has joined forces to perform musical theater, pop, standards and more for nearly two decades, often in support of worthy causes, including Special Olympics Maine and others. Aug. 5, Saturday, 7:30pm, “An Evening of Acoustic Folk with Bold Riley,” Bold Riley started as a simple music project among friends in a barn in Norway, Maine and quickly gained momentum thanks to the group’s unbridled enthusiasm and commitment to bringing joyful acoustic folk music to the greater community. Aug. 7, Tuesday, 7:30pm, “Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival,” widely known as the summer’s highlight for many residents and visitors, the Festival’s concerts have garnered a reputation for presenting five extraordinary concerts performed by twenty-six internationally acclaimed artists in a beautiful woodland setting with superb acoustics. The concert opens with Leonard Bernstein’s seductive, jazzy Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, as the Festival celebrates this American composer and conductor’s 100th birthday this month, and closes with Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, one of Mozart’s most beloved compositions.
