Apr. 26-28, Thursday-Saturday, 7pm, “Laughing Matters,” decades in the making, Laughing Matters is an eclectic collection of show tunes that are sure to tickle your funny bone! Laura Hurd Whited has performed these comic gems throughout her 35 plus years in front of crowds, both large and small–here in southern Maine, in Boston and in Philadelphia–and she has decided it’s time to share them. With the help of good friend and very talented singer and pianist Bob Gauthier, Laura will make you laugh, chuckle and guffaw in the intimate setting of the Falmouth Footlights. Life is hard. Apr. 28, Saturday, 6pm, “WCST presents ‘Alibis,’ a Mystery Dinner Theater Event,” when famous actress Primavera Donna throws a party and winds up dead, it’s up to the guests to figure out who and how, and why the help is so annoying. As the storm outside rages and the body count mounts, the guests must contend with interruptions, shocking revelations, tacky special effects, and the arrival of a mysterious visitor. The surprising conclusion leaves only one question: WHODUNIT? The cast includes a stuffy butler, a social butterfly, a playboy, a dotty detective, a very French maid, and a mysterious stranger.
