There will be a variety of catalogs to pore over but the more the merrier. There will be a number of garden plans to examine, as well as to take home with you. Jan. 17, Wednesday, 6:30pm, “The Opera House,” The Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center presents multiple Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Susan Froemke’s new documentary, “The Opera House.” The film surveys a remarkable period of the Metropolitan Opera’s rich history and a time of great change for New York. Drawing on rarely seen archival footage, stills, and recent interviews, “The Opera House” chronicles the creation of the Met’s storied home of the last 50 years, against the backdrop of the artists, architects, and politicians who shaped the cultural life of New York City in the ’50s and ’60s.
