Sept. 21, Thursday, 7pm, “Maine Audubon: Be in Awe of Bats,” Maine bat-education specialist Annie Kassler, recipient of the 2017 Award of Recognition from the Maine Chapter of the Wildlife Society for her work in bat education, gives a lively presentation with over 100 slides, free, Camden Public Library, 55 Main Street, Camden. Sept. 22, Friday, 5:30pm, “Belfast Art Walk,” features open galleries and studios on Main Street and High Street and the surrounding area in downtown Belfast. This month, you can visit Maine Farmland Trust Gallery, Waterfall Arts, Kris Engman’s Studio, Front Street Pottery, Betts Gallery at the Belfast Framer, Evolve: Sanctuary for the Soul, Belfast Bay Shade Company, Parent Gallery, Lewis Cisle’s Studio, Belfast Clay Studio, Randall Jason Irvin Studio, Studio 153, and The Treasured Leaf Tea Company. On the Art Walk this summer, visit as many of the art walk’s wonderful and unique sites as you want, in whatever order you want; view an amazing variety of art, visit with the artists, and enjoy an evening in the heart of Belfast’s creative community. Sept. 22, Friday, 6pm, “Maine Harvest Farm to Table Dinner,” delicious local cuisine will be prepared and served by the Maine Harvest Restaurant. The meal will consist of a bountiful selection from Maine’s foragers, farmers and fisherman and many preparations will be enhanced with Fiore olive oils and vinegars. Truffaldino arrives in Venice with one master, quickly acquires another, then must serve them both while maintaining the illusion he serves only one. When both servants end up at the same inn, Truffaldino’s powers of improvisation are put to the test, and the results are hilarious! Directed by Dan Burson. Sept. 22, Friday, 6:45pm, “Our Mountain Voices: Celebrating Land Conservation through Story, Song, and Art,” Coastal Mountain Land Trust is kicking off the community phase of the Round the Mountain Collaboration to conserve 1,400 acres of land surrounding our community’s water supply by producing a star-studded evening of local talent presenting their stories, art, or music that is inspired by and in honor of Ragged Mountain.
